Ok a little departure from nail polish. Lately I have been feeling the urge to get back into wearing makeup regularly. I have always loved makeup but am by no means knowledgeable about how to apply some of it and exactly what I should be using. I have been doing a bit of research online and watching lots of YouTube videos but most of the ladies seem to be quite a bit younger than myself lol.I am not one who is big on letting people tell me that I am too old for to wear a certain color or wear things a certain way but I do know that when we age our skin does need a little different care. Since I am just dabbling at this point and not certain where this will lead, I decided to give E.L.F Cosmetics a try since they are very budget friendly and a lot of their products are given pretty good reviews. I always hated buying something pricey and then finding out it wasn’t what I wanted, needed, or after trying, even liked! E.L.F. stands for eyes lips face and this was my first order from their site. I did pick up a couple of their items while shopping after Christmas sales at Target. The catalyst for this particular order was a special promotion they were having where if you purchased $20.14 or more you could purchase their Studio 11Pc. Brush Set for $2.14. I have been wanting a nice set of brushes and these ones I have seen numerous people talk about being very good for a very little price …they are regularly priced at $30 I believe. Also when you purchase $35 or more you receive free shipping and I would much rather receive more product for the money that I would spend on shipping. So here is what I got: Brightening Eye Color in Punk Funk and Ocean Dreams, Jumbo Lip Gloss Sticks in In The Nude, Pink Umbrellas, Tiki Torches, and Sangria Starters, Liquid Eyeliner in Coffee and Plum, A Medium Eyebrow Kit, a Translucent Mattifying Powder compact, High Definition Powder, Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia, Daily Brush Cleaner, Makeup Mist & Set, and of course the 11-Piece Studio Brush Set. I am just going to give you a group picture. Maybe if I decide to delve more deeply into the world of makeup I will revisit some of these products individually. Has anyone else ever ordered from E.L.F. before? What products do you like and recommend? Does anyone know of any beauty bloggers who would have more age appropriate tips for someone my age lol? If so just let me know in the comments below. Thanks!!
