My World Sparkles Lacquers Swatches and Review

Today I have swatches and a review of 3 polishes from a new indie brand called My World Sparkles Lacquers. In August I came across a post by Elizabeth, the creator of My World Sparkles Lacquers on Facebook looking for bloggers and swatchers for her polishes. So I filled out the form  and here we are today with some of her polishes to try out and review! Elizabeth was great about including complete descriptions of her polishes with my package which is really great since I am not always the greatest at trying to describe a polish! All her polishes are hand made from start to finish and 5-free. They are 1/2 oz bottles with a flat brush and squared handle for ease of holding. All swatches were photographed in my light box using daylight bulbs. All swatches are top coated with Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat. Please excuse the nasty looking middle finger,  one of my cats decided to claw my swatching hand a a couple of days ago!! It’s bad enough that I have been having dry cuticle issues with the change of seasons then she had to go and do that!

Rose Gold, Always a Bridesmaid & Pynk’d

The first of the 3 polishes I have for you is Rose Gold. This is a Limited Edition color, there will be no repours so get it now while it’s here! This is a satin shimmery true rose gold color and just for a little bit of pizazz a tiny bit of holo has been added to this. This color is really pretty but doesn’t seem to be the best color for my skin tone unfortunately. Rose Gold is a little sheer and I had to do 3 coats to make it opaque and cover my visible nail line. When my nails are shorter I have less problems with visible nail line but they are very pronounced when my nails are long. Besides being sheer the formula was good and goes on very smoothly  but you do want to apply it somewhat carefully to avoid brush strokes. I think that is just the nature of this type of polish. Just be patient and don’t over work the polish and you will be fine!

Next is Pynk’d, a rose pink slightly iridescent base with micro fine hot pink glitter and ultra fine holographic glitter. This polish is gorgeous! The formula is great and applies very smoothly. This I also had to use 3 coats to cover my visible nail line but I am thinking that if you nails are shorter you may be able to do just 2 coats. This a is bright and cheerful color with a great sparkle. This is probably my favorite of the 3 or at least tied with the next one I have for you!

And finally I have Always a Bridesmaid, a shimmery transparent sheer base with lots of different iridescent and soft pink glitters. This is beautiful and looks great over a lot of different colors of polish. Today I have swatches of it over 3 different colors. Zoya Purity, Loaded Lacquer No Bra and Mentality Rascal. When I first got this bottle out and looked at it I thought it maybe  was going to be a rather thick polish just by the way it rolls around in the bottle. I was very wrong, this applies wonderfully smooth and is just packed with iridescent shimmer with a nice scattering of glitter! Omg I really really don’t know what else to say! By now you all should know that I have an obsession with everything glitter! And this fits nicely into that obsession! For these swatches I did one coat of Always a Bridesmaid over 2 coats of each of Purity and No Bra and one coat of Rascal. Beautiful!!!!!!

I was very impressed with the quality of these polishes. The formulas were very easy to work with and there were no major issues with any of them. I am by no means an expert but I do have quite a collection of polishes and  I would definitely recommend these. There are several others on her site that I have my eye on as well! I can’t help it, I’m addicted to polish and hers are some good ones!!!

Elizabeth was nice enough to provide a coupon code for my readers who would like to purchase her polishes. This is a one time code for Buy One Get One Free Polish at  and will expire on November 30, 2014. Just use the code LUVMWSL.
